Meet Martin Laberge, Nathalie Grandmont and their son Jérôme, the family who runs Fermes J.P. Laberge Inc. They specialize in field crops, growing 515 hectares of corn, 240 hectares of soy and 60 hectares of wheat annually.

Each member has their share of responsibilities: Martin manages the business, Nathalie takes care of tasks such as accounting, and Jérôme handles everything from repairs to electronics, GPS programming and field operations. He is the fourth generation to work on the family farm, which was founded in the Montérégie town of Châteauguay in 1988.

The Laberge family sought to implement a new grain drying and storage system that combines high-functioning equipment with an automated remote monitoring and control system. They started visiting facilities, eager to find the one that would meet their expectations. Word reached them about the great service at Les Équipements L&L Ltée and its best models of equipment. After conducting some visits, the Laberge family knew exactly whom to deal with, and which equipment had a proven track record of efficiency and reliability.

So, Les Fermes J.P. Laberge Inc. reached out to L&L to install two Westeel grain bins (1,750 and 200 tons), one Sukup Mixed-Flow 32’ dryer with 14” columns and a 40 ton/h capacity, two RAD grain elevators (one 150 ton/h and one 76 ton/h model), two L&L tower dryers, two RAD dust collectors, and one Multico control panel.

As they no longer have to constantly monitor their drying system, the Laberges are now free to take care of the farm, fulfil their family obligations and enjoy uninterrupted leisure time!

Les Équipements L&L Ltée was established over 40 years ago and is located on Route 201 in Ormstown, Quebec.

Michel Laplante has been the sole proprietor of this Montérégie business since 2015. He continues to build on the foundation of its reputation and growth, namely personalized assistance and outstanding after-sales service. L&L has built a team of 25 skilled employees and caters to farms across Quebec.

Having expanded its facilities by 12,000 square feet to reach a total footprint of 65,000 square feet in 2018, the company now operates a parts manufacturing plant and continues to distribute leading brands of storage and supply equipment.
